Condom size calculator

Condom size is the width on the box: how wide the condom is when it lies flat, in millimetres (mm). Type your girth, the distance around your erect penis, to find yours.

Wrap a paper strip round the thickest part, mark where the ends meet, then measure the strip. How to measure

Condom size by girth

10 to 10.43.94 to 4.09491.93Small

12 to 13.44.72 to 5.28572.24Large
13.5 to 14.45.31 to 5.67602.36XL
14.5 to 15.45.71 to 6.06642.52XXL

These sizes come from the table published by the condom brand Mister Size. Each row ends just before the next one starts, so every girth has one width. Their published table ends with the 69 mm row at 15.5 cm. If you measure well over 15.5 cm, look at the widest condoms too, up to 72 mm (MY.SIZE PRO 72).

Measure your girth in a minute

  1. Cut a strip of paper about 1 cm wide.
  2. When you are fully hard, wrap it once around the thickest part, usually just below the head. Keep it snug, not tight.
  3. Mark where the strip overlaps, then lay it on a ruler. That number is your girth.

More tips and common mistakes are in the full measuring guide. If a condom you use now feels wrong, see too tight or slips off.

How the condom size finder works

The calculator starts with your girth. For fit, girth matters much more than length: most condoms are long enough already, and any extra length just stays rolled up at the bottom.

Every box gives a width in mm, called the nominal width. It is measured straight across the condom while it lies flat. The right width is about half your girth or a little less, so the condom stretches enough to stay on. Too narrow feels tight and can break. Too wide can slip off.

Frequently asked questions

What size condom do I need?

Measure around your erect penis and type the number into the calculator. It gives you the exact width in mm and the condoms made at that width. Most people need a regular width, about 53 to 55 mm.

Can I work out my condom size without measuring?

Not for sure, but the condoms you use now give a hint. If one leaves a red ring or rolls back up, it is too narrow. If it slides around or wrinkles, it is too wide. Measuring with a strip of paper takes about a minute and gives you the real answer.

Can I enter my condom size in cm?

Yes. Tap cm before you type your measurement. The answer is still a width in mm, because that is how condom boxes list it.

Is the toilet roll test accurate?

Only roughly. The test means sliding the cardboard tube from a toilet paper roll over the erect penis to see if it feels loose or tight. The tube has one fixed size, so it can only tell you bigger or smaller than that. A strip of paper and a ruler give you an actual number.

Do condoms really come in different sizes?

Yes. You can buy them from extra small, about 45 mm wide, up to XXXL, about 69 to 72 mm. Some brands make many sizes in between. The condom size chart lists them by brand.
